Handicap established for the Golfblasters Swing

Over the past two years, with minimal practice, I have established a 12 handicap while playing once or twice a week.  The short game is what keeps this from being lower in number, but for an ideal easy swing for those wanting to participate in Business Golf Outings and network with groups there it isn't such a bad playing handicap.  Soon a site will be established in Oconomowoc, Wisconsin where one will be able to try the golfblasters swing and see just how easy it is to strike golf balls airborne so they don't appear as a goof in a golf outing.  If  one googles: golfblasters video 1 Or golfblasters wix.com they can read more information and see videos of this simple hybrid swing.  The Select 5000 hybrids from Hireko golf with oversize jumbo grips work the best for this swing.  Just two of these clubs, some random clubs from Goodwill, a nice golf bag with some golf balls and tees will make one appear as a golfer of sorts even though they are more truly a non-golfer.  One fact for sure is by using the golfblasters swing and the two clubs during the Best Ball format at an Outing, they will have fun blasting golf balls into the air as they have some fun networking hours with co-workers and others.  To be a designated golfer is no longer really needed to enjoy the Outing while even smashing shots into the air toward greens for a group score.  Look at it like an extended mini-putt game on the course with a swing to hit shots in the air just as easy as a mini-putt swing to putt golf balls toward holes on that course.  Only now there is the pre-outing activities, the round with three others on a team, afterwards before dinner, the dinner and prize time.  What a unique way to get in the mix of select golf groups now and not have to be a seasoned or even off and on golfer.  More on where one can try this swing soon to be announced at a later blog.

THE IRONWOOD HAMMER GOLF SWING...This is the result of several years of research, practice, golf course application, use of many types of golf hybrids, constant contact with golf companies that make various hybrid clubs available,  various types of rejections regarding offering the public an easier swing using hybrids in place of conventional irons, and making changes to club types in search of finding one type of club that can work for anyone just wanting to clobber, hammer, or pound solid shots in the air and play Once in a While...How does this sound?  Single Plane, Less Strain, Self-Train...These are the facets of the Ironwood Hammer Golf Swing.  The Self-Train facet will soon become a more VERIFIED PROCEDURE - Recommended by a Dentist who is Ultra busy expanding a dental practice, raising a family, and supporting a wife who has her own flexible real estate business.  The Self-Train aspect of the Ironwood Hammer Swing is quite simple.  One uses an endorsed Calaway Contact Guide Board to develop a tempo, and distinct path to steer the club into the ball.  PGA Head Professional Brad Calaway designed the board following my suggestions about using such a visual prior to hitting golf balls...One develops a swing pattern with an auditory sound of a 'clicking' noise of a rubber tee in place of the ball repetitively before hitting any ball.  Using far fewer motions than the conventional swing, accomplishing this impact with the tee has taken place within 5 minutes to 15 minutes for most people.  Successfully hitting golf balls with this procedure takes less than one hour.  Using the Ironwoods, soon available from a website in construction along with the more simple mechanics and motions of the Ironwood Hammer Swing, hitting consistent solid shots will become easier than a conventional approach.  So it seems like one can definitely utilize this procedure to first learn to hit solid shots off the guide board and eventually use the board as a guide while hitting shots off the ground which will lead to no guide needed as swing motions are established in the brain.  More regarding THE IRONWOOD HAMMER GOLF SWING will be written very soon.  This seems to be the year for the Ultra Busy People in the Workforce to be made more knowledgeable about a core type swing that is easier to learn, simple to reinforce on their own, and at least be hitting solid golf shots so participating in golf outings, playing once in a while with friends, or just hitting practice balls in the backyard - like shooting hoops in the driveway - will be possible.  Even selecting clubs for the type of play will be possible.  This year I will establish the type of scoring possible using seven clubs, including the putter, with the IRONWOOD HAMMER SWING.  Keep in mind too that PGA Professional Brad Calaway, now at Jefferson Golf Course in Jefferson, Wisconsin will be the only golf professional who knows how and why this hammer-swing style functions...one does not want to take facets from the Ironwood Hammer Swing and try to use them in a conventional golf swing...I will state that for sure.  In the next blog I will list the distances I am able to attain with various clubs.  As one develops a tempo or speed then they also develop the ability to hit golf shots different distances with the same club...and the Same swing style...which keeps it SIMPLE...

After a season of research and practice on the course I have discovered that most higher lofted hybrids work efficiently with this Hammer-Like swing style.  Even the Ping irons which are the most forgiving irons work quite well which surprised me.  I have established the fact that a scoring game in the 90's is doable with just one hybrid from tee to green once one finds a smooth tempo using the contact training board.  At this time I am expanding this golf venue to the non-golfing public by first offering cost-free trial of the swing at the Wisconsin Indoor Golf Center in Waukesha, WI.  Someone seeking to play and score well will find that a game in the low 80's is possible with just a three wood, 3-4 hybrids, and a putter.  Basically, since the swing plane is the same for all clubs, it will be easier for one to take this swing to the course especially if they take the few hours of time to develop a swing speed using the contact training board at home or wherever.  The youtube videos at golfblasters.com you tube videos (google search) depicts this practice routine and How-to quite well.  Well, into the 2016 season we shall go soon in Wisconsin.

YouTube now has three videos to view...search...golf blasters.com  Be sure to leave a space between the f in golf and b in blasters.  One will see how the first golf clinic will be experienced by the student who chooses to try this hybrid-hammer style.  Learning to hit solid golf shots using the Golfer's Footprint and this easier method happens within 30-40 minutes.  This could certainly be the CORE of the conventional swing as one can golf with it quickly, continue to get more proficient with it on their own using the Golfer's Footprint, and eventually in time decide to add more motions to gain more distance.  An understanding of the Slot, keeping down through the shot, and moving the hips out of the way for the arms to pass in front, Along with where to speed up the club will be set with the Hybrid-Hammer so one can add more back swing, body spin/turn, and forearm rotation in attempts to golf more conventionally.  In the meantime, the Hybrid-Hammer can be experienced quickly and those who would like to participate in Business Golf Outings can now learn quickly how to hit solid shots with just a few hybrids.  Practice how to hit more consistent shots can be scheduled on their own time.  In a best ball format one can feel better about hammering solid shots for their team and not be so tied up with scoring on their own.   Perhaps this is the definition of 'Recreational Golf' verses having a lousy conventional type swing game and realizing they don't have time to improve?  Most recently I am working with Village Golf in Waukesha, Wisconsin where Jim Rowe will fit clubs properly to make hitting solid shots even more consistently.  Having a club fit for one's reach and style plus more creates an easier way to hit better shots.  I am also using Synchron Vespa hybrids, both irons and hybrids - along with a driver designed by Jim of Village Golf for my game.  There are other hybrid irons now made by pro-line companies plus Jim knows of many clones that have nearly the same design.  I should mention he is also designs Power Built iron hybrids that function very well with the Hybrid-Hammer swing.  I will continue to expand this easier recreational format as I have not strained my cervical neck or L-5 lumbar area where I have bone/disc issues.  The fact that I swing in a Circle around a reverse K shaped body with no extended torque on my back or neck lets me know I can use this method for life.  I have to thank those designers who have made striking solid golf shots easier with hybrid clubs for sure!!

A Batting-Hammer Hybrid Back Swing

After training with a baseball coach who taught me the specifics of the batting swing, I have now discovered a back swing using hybrid clubs that is more efficient yet. Using standard hybrids or clones with slightly larger grips this back swing allows one to pause and consciously decide when to swing down to the ball. It would be like waiting for the right pitch except the ball is not moving. Positioning the ball just forward of center is the best position for the ball. The 'Do Not Cast' the club in the conventional swing is Actually where one starts the downswing in this style. That clock-hand motion back to the ball is where one speeds up the club. Also, using a hybrid provides the mass in the head of the club so the 'hammer' aspect is met at collision with the ball. Another aspect different from conventional means is having a ten finger firm grip on the club. The right hand ( for right handers) firmly gripped at the pinky finger region of the hand and a slight meeting of the forefinger/thumb actually Maintains a swing path of the club that one can rely upon to return back to the ball. There is a forward motion of the body to the forward side ( but not with a spin - more similar to Moe Norman from the former natural golf.) The thumb of the top hand (left one for right handers) is actually tucked into the palm of the right hand. This locks the club into position so it returns to the ball for a square strike. If one wants more distance simply use a less lofted club. I drive the ball in the 245-270 range with this style. Keep in mind at 64 years old and having neck and lower back spinal issues that this style prevents srain of these areas. The forward arm is also bent in the back swing but straightens on the down swing. Google: wix golf-blasters.com for some videos of this swing in the early stages. Again, who would know that the higher lofted hybrids AND hybrid irons would work with a reduced swing style? Don't forget this is a swing style that does not requre a set of lessons being that the motions and mechanics are reduced and the use of a Golfer's Footprint unit will aid in 'where' to steer the club in the beginning back to the ball for optimum contact. So it seems that many facets of the conventional swing that one should Not Do actually Work Fine with this swing. The casting motion in the downswing from a 'batters' bat position along with a move to the forward body side allows for a solid strike and is quite easy to repeat.

New Research & Development: Batting & the Hybrid Hammer

In June of 2014 the Hybrid Hammer swing was evaluated by a baseball batting coach. New facets of the swing had to be learned to authenticate that baseball batting motions, including the grip, could be used to hit golf shots with the oversized gripped hybrids. After learning that a longer shafted club is needed to 'bat' golf balls because of the setup of the ball farther forward in the stance, it was confirmed that the backswing was beneficial to the Hybrid Hammer Golf Swing to make it even more efficient. Soon the Hybrid Hammer swing will be introduced in Madison, WI. There will be swing trials one can schedule at a local driving range and one golf store where either Cobra Bafflers, Adams Hybrids, or Hireko Golf Hybrids will be offered for sale. Of course one will be able to try the swing using these hybrids and deside for themselves which model is best for them. With the use of the Golfer's Footprint, the special hybrids that 'hammer' the ball more efficiently than conventional irons, and the easy swing motions of the Hybrid Hammer Swing, a 45 minute maximum time will clearly show the student golfers that solid shots can be experienced Very Quickly. One will be able to choose to learn to golf with just one hybrid at first or select a set of different lofts available. The 'Choice' is theirs, as even the Golfer's Footprint training device can be purchased for one to continue 'on their own' without a series of lessons from any instructor. Learning a smooth swing tempo and swing path of the club is the first step. Within a week of practice for 30 minutes a day one can develop a sound swing to repeat and play golf with if they choose. This format is ideal for those who golf infrequently but would like to hit solid shots and enjoy golf more. I wlll blog soon again as this golf format gets more developed. Keep in mind that I developed the swing after sustaining spinal issues in my neck and already had one in my lower spine so the 'Less Strenuous' swing discovery was researched from this beginning. Who knew the ongoing design of hybrids would have a swing style that would be identified? Google...wix golf-blasters...and click onto More Videos to see some early stages of this swing. Perhaps this is the beginning of a golf swing style that is truly recreational. Hybrids in any realm seem to bring out a difference of some type as in automobiles. Now golf has one too.
